Regenerate a secret for client credentials
The secret associated with a set of client credentials for a system may be regenerated, or “rotated”, if they are suspected to be compromised, or simply as a regular routine.
Users with service desk level permissions can regenerate the secret for client credentials
- Log in to the Administration Console
- Click on the “Clients” tab on the menu on the left

3. Search for the client you wish to regenerate a secret for using the search bar

4. Click on the Client ID you wish to regenerate a secret for

5. Click the “Credentials” tab

6. Click the “Regenerate Secret” button

A new secret has been regenerated and must be configured into systems using this set of client credentials – the previous secret will no longer be accepted.
